A couple of stunt drivers risked life and well ... life to break a world record this week for longest jump and all for the sake of advertising.
A semi-tractor trailer driven by expert stuntman Mike Ryan jumped 83 feet and 7 inches over a Formula F1 car driven by Martin Ivanov in a commercial for a data management company.
Car and Driver reports that the heart-pounding stunt — coordinated by Ryan — was done to promote a company called EMC Enterprise who does tech related things for for Formula 1.
And Smoky and the Bandit has nothing on this clip:
Both drivers aren't newbies to testing race tracks and have performed stunts for Hollywood Films like James Bond, The Bourne Identity, The Terminator, and The Fast and The Furious.
So, in other words, don't get any ideas during the next rush hour bottleneck.
